Thinking out loud

It’s hard to think clearly when your “baby” is sick.  Coombsy is down for now with some sort of bug bite or something…face swollen…totally dopey on Benadryl.  So, help me think out loud.

I want to make a macaroni salad.  I’ll start with the macaroni I just bought.  Barilla spinach & zucchini rotini.  That rhymes.  How fine.  (Sorry…I just had to do it….)  Here’s my ideas:

Pasta (of course)

Celery

roasted red peppers

olives (I may just have kalamata, but that’s okay)

baby green peas

Olive oil , white balsamic vinegar (on the pasta)

Miracle Whip, green seasoning by Penzeys, cracked black pepper on everything.

Maybe throw a couple of boiled eggs in there?  That might be a good idea.  Yeah.

Thanks for helping me think.  I will report back on how this all works out for me.

Hope everyone is having a great Labor Day.

  1. Sounds great so far. I never make mine the same way twice. Eggs work. Don’t know if you eat seafood, but I sometimes like to toss in some shrimp or crab . . . if you like “lobsta” that is an option. I don’t use it since I don’t think it’s worth the cost . . . I love mixing colors and textures . . .
