I’m not angry or bitter…I’m not wishing 2012 gone because of the sadness that 2012 brought to me. It’s just time for 2012 to go, and 2013 to be upon us.
Call me pollyanna (no, please don’t) but every year I figure things will “get better”. Not because they “can’t get worse”…but because I just know that I’m going to try harder to make 2013 an extra good year.
I could list all the reasons I think 2013 will be a better year than 2012. But I’m not going to.
What I’m going to ask you all to do is to remember the good things that 2012 brought. Hold them in your heart as I am going to hold them in my heart. And, take them with you into 2013. Use those good things to build on and create a better year for yourself and for those around you.
Maybe resolve to commit one random act of kindness per month. Or per week. Me, I’m going to try to rejoice in the Lord in every single event of 2012.
I’m going to keep this in my heart too: 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. That’s John 1:5. Be a light that shines in the darkness.
Happy New Year to you all.
