‘Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ Isaiah 41:10 NASB
Supposedly, “Fear not” and it’s different iterations are the most common sentiments in the bible.
Look so closely at the content of this verse. God is with us. And, he is our God…who will help us, strengthen us, uphold us…we lose sight of this often just as we lose sight of God often. We are human but we should aspire to something higher.
Consider what Paul said in Colossians 3:1-2 “If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.”
Set your mind on things that are above – set your mind on things not of this earth. Look to the sky – look to the face of Christ. Look FOR the face of Christ in others. Seek God in all you do.
Be penitent. Continue to repent and offer forgiveness for those who have wronged us. Put aside the anger, hurt, resentment, fear, and all other un-Godly feelings and forgive…look with love at those who may have done wrong…
Remember not to judge. When you judge, you see yourself as God. It is only his to judge.
So, in your weakest, most fear-laden moments…in those times you feel you can’t be good – be Christ-like…turn your face to the sky, seek Christ and know he is with you. He says he is.
….And I will be with you to the end of the age…
